Ready for the exam?

On our previous posts you could find various different resources which are very very helpful for your listening practice, but today I will give you an extra tip. Since this platform is exclusively for your preparation for CAE, I want to recommend you to get to know each part of the exam first, this way you can know what to expect! The listening section of the exam is divided into four parts, on the first part you will hear three different extracts, for questions 1-6 you will have to choose the answer (A, B or C) which fits best according to what you heard. There are two questions for each extract. An example is shown below

On the second part, you will hear a recording and you will have to complete the gaps.

On part 3 of the exam, you will hear a recording and choose the best option (A,B,C,D) according to what you heard.

Lastly, part 4 of the listening section is divided into two tasks, you will hear five different extracts and you will have to complete both tasks at the same time.
