Since we are learning english as a second language, we don't get to hear it in our social context very often, therefore it becomes difficult for us to get used to hearing or distinguishing the different dialects and accents. A great way to solve this issue to improve our listening skill is by listening podcasts. There are great advantages of practicing this way! For example, you’ll get tons of practice listening to the english language and building listening comprehension skill, without taking any additional time out of your schedule. You can listen on your commute, during errands, etc. You can also look for material of your preference, choose whatever topic you like. Whether you’re listening to documentaries, interviews or fun talk shows, you’re getting all the language learning benefits that come with immersing in native speech. It’s a great way to familiarize yourself with common speech patterns, or to get acquainted with natural accents and even improve your own.
Here you can find some podcasts, and as an extra tip, we recommend you to subscribe to www.player.fm it has various topics of your choice, such as technology, sports, business, education, music, etc. And, it even has a free mobile app so you can carry it on all the time!
